Ellie is very much looking forward to coaching the Trumpet section of the National Children’s Wind Sinfonia for their 2013 Easter course.
This month Ellie enjoyed recording video clips for the online music programme, ’Focus on Sound‘. The programme is specifically designed to give a demonstration clip for each instrument, alongside facts and information.
Ellie recorded music on the Cornet, Flugelhorn, Bb Trumpet, Piccolo Trumpet and Baroque Trumpet, demonstrating the capacity of each instrument and repertoire from Star Wars to Handel’s ‘The Trumpet Shall Sound’!
Ellie enjoyed deputising on the tour of Chicago The Musical, when it was in Truro. She joins them again in August in Nottingham.
Ellie enjoyed joining organist Richard Moore for a Trumpet and Organ recital at Trinity College Chapel, Oxford. They performed pieces from the Baroque to 20th Century, including Trumpet Voluntaries by Clarke and Stanley, Handel’s Watermusic, Crown Imperial by William Walton, and two movements from “Windows” by Czech composer Petr Eben.
Ellie is very much looking forward to doing some chamber music coaching at the Junior department of the Royal Academy of Music, London.
On 20th February 2012, Ellie enjoyed joining the London Philharmonic Orchestra Future Firsts Scheme for the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant soundcheck.
On Monday 12th December, 2011, Sarah Field and Ellie Lovegrove performed Vivaldi’s Double Trumpet Concerto at a sold-out St George’s Church, Hanover Square, London.
They also performed Handel’s Dettingen Te Deum with Barts Chamber Choir, conducted by Ivor Setterfield.
Ellie very much enjoyed being a student on a 4 day Masterclass with Kristian Steenstrup.
